Quality Clutch & Gear, Inc. was formed in June 1987 by Larry and Sharon Feusse. In the beginning our primary purpose was to provide reliable and affordable transmission repair solutions for the people of the Central Michigan area. We are still doing that today, but with some added services that our customers have requested.
As our company was growing we were able to open additional locations in other neighboring communities. Many of these other facilities remain in operation today as a result of some of our best employee's desire to become owners of their own business. Quality clutch & Gear itself however is now located in Mt. Pleasant at 1102 N. Packard Rd. and in St. Louis at 220 S. Main St. Over all these years we have retained the same ownership status and the same commitment to customer service.
In Mt. Pleasant, our Service Manager is Robert Lyon. Robert has over 20 years of experience in helping customers find solutions to their transmission and auto repair challenges. Robert grew up in the Mt. Pleasant area and has gained valuable experience in other parts of the country as an auto service technician, transmission rebuilder and service manager. Joining with Robert is Mark Phinney, who started working for Quality Clutch & Gear in 1980 and has many years of professional transmission rebuilding experience. Mark, Robert and the other experienced and dedicated technicians at our Mt. Pleasant location will diagnose your vehicle correctly and offer the right repair suggestions for the best possible solution to your particular situation.
In St. Louis, our Shop Manager/Rebuilder is Marc Schutt. Marc also started working for Quality Clutch & Gear in 1980, but has gained valuable and broadened experience working for some other local businesses. Marc is well known in the area and because of his excellent reputation has gained a loyal following among this customer network. Under Marc's leadership, the technicians at our St. Louis location will give you friendly and accurate suggestions on ways to correct most any auto or transmission related problem effectively.
